Paid Fun

Here are some of the projects that I’m currently working on for my graduate work, summer internships, or other paid opportunities.

Product Management @ Google

This summer I will be working as an Associate Product Manager at Google. This is a new venture for me, but it sounds like an exciting challenge that’s going to stretch me in new ways. I’ve been a fan of the company for a number of years and am excited about the challenge of working in an unfamiliar territory.

Ensemble Social Tools

Ensemble is an online community for computing educators that allows them to share resources for teaching and collaborate on efforts that are relevant to their professional lives. I am designing Ensemble Social Tools, a Drupal module that allows the site administrators to observe behavioral trends and design various types of virtual rewards that encourage active participation.

CS10: The Beauty and Joy of Computing

CS10 is a new course at Berkeley that I am helping to design and run. The goal of the course is to provide a bird’s eye view of the field of computing that can be appreciated by all. I am the head Graduate Student Instructor for the course and am active in iterating the curriculum in order to make it as good as it can be.
